Pakistan Army Generals Attend Funerals of Terrorists
In a move drawing international criticism, senior Pakistan Army officials, including Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir, attended funerals of militants killed during India's Operation Sindoor. The deceased were honored with state funerals, their coffins draped in Pakistan's national flag, suggesting official recognition. India condemned the act, asserting that those honored were terrorists responsible for attacks on Indian soil.
Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri remarked, "Giving terrorists state funerals may be a practice in Pakistan, but it doesn’t seem to make much sense to us" . This incident raises concerns about Pakistan's commitment to counterterrorism efforts and its stance on extremist elements.
