Elementor Global Settings

Elementor Global Settings are your website's master controls, letting you define consistent design elements across all pages. Think colors, fonts, layouts, and more.

Types of Global Settings:

Global Colors and Fonts: Define a palette of colors and font families to be used throughout your website. Changing a global color or font automatically updates it wherever it's used. This ensures consistency and saves you time from making individual changes on each page.

Layout Settings: Control overall site layout aspects like content width, spacing, breakpoints (mobile responsiveness), and page templates.

Theme Style: Override default theme styling for elements like buttons, headings, images, and forms. This applies not just to Elementor-built elements, but also to other theme elements, creating a consistent experience.

Lightbox: Configure how your lightbox popup window looks and behaves when images, galleries, or videos are opened.

Site Identity: Define your website's name, description, logo, and favicon.

Additional Settings: Manage integrations, Elementor experiments, and advanced configurations.

Where to Find Global Settings:

  • Go to the Elementor Dashboard.
  • Click on "Settings".
  • Explore the various sections like "Site Settings", "Theme Style", etc.

Elementor Global Settings:

In the context of Elementor Global Settings, "primary," "secondary," "text," and "accent" refer to different roles that colors play in your website's design:

Primary:

This is your main brand color, the one that grabs attention and defines your website's identity. Use it sparingly for key elements like headings, logos, and important buttons.

Secondary: Think of this as your supporting color, complementing the primary without stealing the spotlight. It's often used for subheadings, list items, and background accents.

Text: This is the workhorse, the color for your main body text. Choose a readable and neutral color that ensures accessibility and clarity for your content.

Accent: This is your pop of color, used to highlight calls to action, links, buttons, and other elements you want viewers to click or notice. Choose a contrasting color that grabs attention without clashing with your overall palette.

Benefits of Using Global Settings:

  • Consistency: Ensures a cohesive design across your whole website.
  • Efficiency: Saves time by making bulk changes instead of editing each element individually.
  • Branding: Helps establish a strong brand identity through consistent colors and fonts.
  • Flexibility: Fine-tune the overall look and feel of your website.
